How to apply cream and lotion for a long protection to your baby’s skin

            The child at the age of 1-3 years is the age of fun, imagination and playfulness. Every activity can help the child develop his physical growth. As parents, we have to support and encourage both outdoor and indoor activities. Nevertheless, skin protection is something that cannot be overlooked. The outdoor activities come with sunlight and pollutions that might irritate the baby’s skin. Before going out, let’s get the baby’s skin protected.

• In the morning, apply gentle baby lotion that is easily to absorb before going out. Use the one that can absorb into the skin fast because the baby will not like when there’s something sticky on her skin. Immediately apply the lotion after a bath.
• If your baby is playing outdoor with strong sunlight, apply sun screen lotion to protect your baby’s skin. Use the sunscreen product for baby instead of general ones since they might cause irritation to your baby’s skin.
• After an outdoor activity, take a bath before doing something else or having a meal. Bacteria or any pollution might cause illness to the baby.
• After taking a bath or before going to bed, apply moisturizer particularly on knees, elbows and feet to avoid rough patches.

Tips: When choosing sunscreen product for your 1-3 years old baby, select the water-resistant one with SPF more than 15. The product should contain broad spectrum quality that can protect both UVA and UVB. Don’t forget to do the patch test to see if the product irritates your baby’s skin or not by applying the sunscreen on the back y of your baby.
