It’s time for your child to go to school, learn something new and meet new people such as friends and teachers. When your child is not at home, cleanliness and pollution are something beyond our control. In addition to support his learning at school, you can also help him by preparing clean school equipment. There are new diseases developed due to dirtiness that we have to keep our eyes on them.
Student uniform
Children must play with their friends. It’s the fun time. Sometimes, your child might come home with dirty uniform. Nevertheless, do not use general washing product since it might cause irritation to your child’s skin. Select the one with natural extract since it is gentle for your child’s clothes and skin. If there are stains, just soak it for a while.
Shoes
Wash your child’s shoes at least once a week. After coming back from school, expose the shoes to the sun or the open air to avoid unpleasant odor.
Drinking bottle
Children will carry drinking bottle to school every day. You should immediately clean it after your child comes home. Clean and dry it. Do not just let it stay unclean overnight even though it only contains plain water. This might make the bottle stink.
Handkerchief
Most mommy put handkerchief in the child’s pocket. No matter if it is used or not, do not reuse the handkerchief.
Eating utensils
Some schools might ask students to bring their own eating utensils to school. Even though your child has cleaned them, you should clean them again.
Sleeping bag and pillow
At the end of the week, the sleeping bag and pillow must be taken home for cleaning. You have to clean them every week whether they are dirty or not.
In addition to daily tools and equipment, you should cultivate healthy practices into your child including washing hands before meals and after going to the toilet. This way can help your child stay healthy and protect him from illness.
Tips: Socks are the dirtiest and the most difficult to clean. Soak dirty socks for 15-20 minutes. You can also add washing liquid before washing. This will make it easier to remove stains.
