What should I do when my baby is scalded?
- Don't be panic. Quickly take your kid away from the area. Take off the clothes wet from the hot water to separate the skin from the heat.
- Decrease the skin temperature using cold water or an ice pack. Don’t use frozen food from the refrigerator because it can cause infection.
- Clean the wound with mild soap water and cover it with a clean cloth.
- If it's a big wound, take your baby to see the doctor as soon as possible. Don’t try to prick the blister as it could be infected.
