Teaching Children to be Observant: Where to Start?

If you want your children to be observant, there’re so many ways to train your children. You can start by teaching them little things until it becomes a habit.

• Train through playing. Such as playing games like find the difference between two images or what's missing in the picture. Don’t let your children play games on mobile phones or watch cartoons.
• Practice observation while doing family chores. For example, you may point children to notice the billboards or vehicles on the road. Have them see things around them while going out.

The advantages of the observant children

Observation will help your children in learning and live their daily life like the news of the unrest situations in many provinces. You can teach them that if they find something that doesn’t belong to them placed in the house or at school, doesn’t have an owner, the owner can’t be found, or that object should be placed there, the children should not touch or move what’s called “foreign objects.” They should tell the parents or teachers, and stay away from the risky area. If the suspected object explodes or sparks, the children should seek a safe shelter.
