Milk vomiting is very common in newborns. One of the causes is that the baby’s gastric sphincter function has to yet work well and this condition will gradually disappear when the baby grows.
How to decrease milk vomiting. After breastfeeding, the mother should help the baby burps by "hold the baby to sit or lie across the shoulder". This is a way to help to push the air above the milk within the baby’s belly to come out or to burp.
Make the baby feel comfortable. If the mother doesn’t make the baby burps after breastfeeding, or the air hasn’t been empty, the baby will vomit milk.
