6 signs that your baby say “I Love You”

1. Eye contact and smile back
Baby at 1-2 months old does not need anything much, but he tries to adjust himself to the new environments since they have been in mother’s womb for 9 months. When baby hears mother’s voice, he feels excited and interested to talking with mother.
The sign of love expression. When baby has a full of love and care from mother, he feels happy and want to be close to his mother. The baby will send the sign by looking at mother’s face, having eye contact, and smiling back to mother, which mean that he wants to be close to mother, making him feeling warm and protected. Besides, these expressions of love indicate good development of baby at this age.

2. Turning for voices, mommy where are you!
When entering the age of 3-4 months old, baby has the better eyesight development. He begins to look after things. So, you should use toys that are easy to hold, such as the dolls that can make beeping noise, to play with baby in order to make him looking for the source of noise and trying to grab the toys. During playing, mother should keep talking with baby. This will make him happy and laugh as a response to mother

When mother walk to anywhere, baby wants to look for mother’s voice, smile, or laugh to let mother know that he wants to be close and play with mother. He feels happy when mother is on his sides.

3. Making noise responding to mother
During the age of 5-6 months, development of baby begins to change. He can now roll over by himself. He can see at farer distance and makes several responding noises. Baby at this age has several changes during development such as starts looking at farer distance and making noise to respond what he hears. Besides, he has more understanding of the language.

So, mother should be encouraged to talk more with your baby so that he will learn to listen and can well remember many words. This can be done by telling tales or singing songs. The baby will then have a good mood and feel happy. When he’s happy, he also wants to communicate back to mother, wishing to express his happy feeling and love to his mother by making noises from throat or laughing. Baby’ happiness is essential foundation of good baby development process.

4. Crawling to mother
When the baby becomes 7-8 months old, he is able to sit upright and stand up by himself. Also, he can now crawl and wants to crawl to toys or to his mother. This is an important period for support development of body balance. This can be done by holding baby sitting on your knees and then urge him to stand up by himself, while mother is giving support by holding the baby in standing position.
The sign of love expression. At this age, the baby begins to crawl. So, when mother walk away, the baby will crawl to follow his mother. This is the sign indicating that baby does not want mother to be far away. Mother should try calling baby’s name and urge him to crawl toward mother. The baby will smile and quickly crawl to mother. He also wants mother to show some admire or applause for his good attempt. When the mother does so, the baby will be very pleased and happy for his success.

5. Start walking, concentrate listening to mother, understand the language
At the age of 9-12 months, small kid begins to walk. So, he should be let to walk by himself. Just give him a little help when he tries to stand up by provide something for grabbing. Then, mother should keep an eye closely on what he does. This will make baby confident to walk by himself as well as understand the language and postures such as beckoning or stopping sign using hands. The baby can more recognize and understand these ways of communication.

So, when he wants anything, he will make voice or noise to catch his mother’ attention and response in doing things for him. 6. Saying the word “Mommy”
Baby at 12 months old are already able to walk by himself. He enjoys walking to his mother and begins to speak. So, mother should encourage the baby to talk about things in the surrounding environment, looking at pictures, telling him short tales, speaking short words, and urge him to repeat speaking those words. The baby will gradually be able to learn better and better.

When the baby is happy doing activities with mother who are willing to give him love, the baby will know who is the one that loves him and who would be the person that he can rely on. So, he wants to be near to such person. He will also express his love by eventually saying the word “mommy”.
Once the baby first says the word “mommy”, every mother would be very happy and feel no more tired or stress after a long period of raising the child. Feelings of tiredness completely disappeared and what comes instead is the most joyful feeling.
